Job Description

The Manager of Environmental Fate and Metabolism assumes a wide range of scientific and technical duties associated with various animal, aquatic, plant and soil environmental fate and metabolism projects performed at Springborn Smithers Laboratories. Responsible for the training and supervision of the professional and technical staff, including reviews, promotions, and accounting of time worked. The Manager of Environmental Fate and Metabolism is responsible to enhance the performance of the scientific team and its individuals by developing and instituting novel approaches to animal, aquatic, plant and soil environmental fate and metabolism, problem-solving and the development and maintenance of customer relations leading to new business opportunities. The Manager will effectively communicate and collaborate with peers regarding study schedules, study conduct and new technologies. Duties include training scientific staff, managing maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, reviewing and summarizing data, problem solving, technical and business communications with peers and customers.
