Job Description
|
Position : GM – Medicinal chemistry
Department : Discovery Research
Education : Ph D / post doc. in chemistry /medicinal chemistry
Experience : 7- 10 years in pharma/ biotech / related industry with atleast 1-2yrs in a managerial position.
Location : Bangalore
Description:
------ Responsible to lead a medicinal chemistry project team in delivering candidate molecule.
------ Responsible to design and synthesize drug development candidates.
------ Should have significant medicinal chemistry experience including scaffold design,library synthesis, hit to lead optimization etc.
------ Work closely with biologists/ computational chemists / pharmacologists to advance the drug discovery portfolio
------ Collaborating with other strategic unit heads in providing scientific knowledge and inputs supporting business growth.
------ Contribute to strategic planning and development of the chemistry department
------ Prepare and deliver quality presentations & reports.
Preferred candidates:
------ He/ She must be focused, possess the ability to meet and exceed expectations.
------ Must have an outstanding communication (oral & written) & interpersonal skills; desire to work in a dynamic team environment.
------ Track record of management experience
------ Proven track record of scientific excellence demonstrated by publication history & scientific reputation.
------ Exposure to computational chemistry tools / discovery biology will be an added advantage.
