The requirement is with one of our renowned client-Biotech/Pharma company based out of Bangalore, India location.
The company is a contract research organization (CRO) dealing with several projects across the globe is looking for Sr. Scientist professionals who are working on Electrophysiology, ion-channel research.
Position: Scientific Manager – Electrophysiology(Ion-channel)
Essential: PhD degree in Biophysics/Pharmacology/Biology with minimum 3 years of experience in ion-channel research
Preferred: Post-doctoral training in the US/Europe in electrophysiology for 2-3 years
Job description
In this role, the person will have the responsibility of building and leading a team of scientists to support projects ranging from early to late-stage discovery. The candidate should have first-hand experience in patch-clamp methodology and cell culture as well as knowledge in general lab procedures. Experience in recordings with tissue slices will be an advantage. Familiarity with the operation of common laboratory instruments and knowledge of software commonly used for electrophysiological experiments is required. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to organize and present data, have strong written and oral communication skills, and hold a track record of excellent performance in a team-oriented environment. Prior job experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company is beneficial but not required. Experience with automated patch-clamp system will be an added qualification.
