Job Description
|
Manage the development, implementation and evaluation of multiple process research projects according to client specifications.
Contribute to the evaluation and development of new inquiries (i.e. R+D cost and resource estimates)
Develops process research project plans in collaboration with other departments to ensure delivery of overall project objectives
Collaborate with R+D Managers in allocating project resources (lab space, equipment and staff)
Co-ordinate multi-functional project teams (e.g. analytical, technology transfer, process safety staff) and facilitate the resolution of outstanding issues
Monitor project progress through tools such as regular status meetings, schedule reviews, Gantt Charts
Lead in the management of staff through activities such as recruitment, performance management and staff development. Act as coach for staff in R+D Manager position.
Provide leadership to staff in R+D project leadership roles
Fulfil point of contact role for clients on scientific matters related to projects
Manage and review final project reports
Participate in project evaluations through report review, analysis and coaching
Fulfil leadership role in implementation of critical responsibilities (e.g. intellectual property tracking/co-ordination, FED)
Monitor compliance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and R+D Manuals
Ensure safe and clean lab operations
